If you’ve ever wondered what happens when quarter-size hail hits 101+ pavement, we now know: The hail sizzles and then explodes!
The hot weather is causing a heavy burden on our power lines. ERCOT has announced that we set a power record yesterday and we’ll probably set another one today which means we are now under a power watch. That means it would really help if North Texans can reduce their electricity use from 3PM to 7PM.
So here are a few tips:
–Set your air conditioning units to 80 degrees or higher.
–Use your fans.
–Turn off all unnecessary lights, and electronic equipment.
–And avoid using big appliances.
