Candace Bushnell is adored in Dallas where the “Sex and the City” author launched her novel, “One Fifth Avenue,” with a party hosted by Vogue last week.

About 250 women “dressed ‘Lipstick Jungle‘ style” covered the garden of the Crescent Court Hotel and bought up all 300 copies of the book, an insider reports. Event planners had to drive to a Barnes & Noble to pick up 50 more. Our source gushed, “Guests were buying between four and 10 copies each. Dallas loves Candace, and she was so gracious, spending time speaking to everyone.

It’s interesting how you can be neck deep in an area of life yet it is such a novelty to others that they don’t even know where to begin. In this case, I am referring to “blogging”. I receive many queries as to how one goes about blogging and setting everything up.

Personally, I think it’s best to utilize a site like Thoughts.com because they have the template already set up and ready to go. You simply sign up for free, invite your friends and family (or you can skip that bit until you’re ready to show off), create blog, and you are taken to an easy to use screen where you simply begin typing your thoughts or uploading photos, videos, podcasts, chat with others, etc. You also have the option of making your blog public, private or viewable only to your friends & family.

Blogging can be a great deal of fun and a good stress reliever. It’s interesting how witty someone can be when left to their own devices. After a few postings, most people find their voice and, within time, an audience.

So I invite you to get on the bandwagon, set up your own blog and start pontificating to the world - who knows, you might become a featured writer one day!

Mark Twain’s classic novel about boyhood, “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” have raised the ire of two parents whose son attends the Birdville School District.

The parents are upset that the teacher utilized the N word in vocabulary and discussions regarding the classic book. Aside from apologies, the parents want the book banned from the curriculum.

Jerry Hall To Tell All

Dallas’ own, Jerry Hall, is camped out at her Lone Oak ranch outside of town working on a new book to be published by Harper Collins in autumn 2009 — 2 years to wait!

The publishers are expecting it to be a blockbuster — Jerry is the girl that attended Mesquite High School, ran away to Paris to be a model and along the way graced the cover of dozens of magazines, was engaged to Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music and then spent almost 21 years with Mick Jagger.

Somehow, I think that what Jerry can write about from real life adventures will blow alot of people away.
