Alliance Francaise de Dallas Presents the French Movie of the Month at The Mac (3120 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, 75204) tomorrow (Saturday), 14 March 09 at 2p.

LA FILLE SUR LE PONT is directed by Patrice Leconte and stars Vanessa Paradis and Daniel Auteuil. The romance was released in 1999 and runs 1h 30m. In french with English captions. Rated R.

Daniel Auteuil and Vanessa Paradis charm in this funny and intriguing twist on Boy Meets Girl. A beautiful waif is prepared to leap to her death in the Seine but is rescued from her grim fate by a raffish carnival knife thrower. If you are wondering why Vanessa Paradis’ name sounds familiar, she’s Johnny Depp’s girlfriend and a major star in France in her own right.
