Several several years after Dallas set the example, today the Fort Worth City Council approved extending restrictions on public smoking.

However, council members cut some slack for bars and bingo parlors.

This vote ends a year-long discussion with debate and study which gave the members the ability to further water down the ordinance or to completely ban smoking in all public places.
