The FBI, banking officials and local law enforcement agencies have grouped together in an effort to capture the most wanted - and most dangerous - bank robbers to be hitting the area.

The theory is that there are more people browsing the web than wondering through post offices where to date, most of these Wanted posters have been placed.

The site is located at: www.BanditTracker.com.

Dallas County to Crack Down on Delinquent Contractors

In a refreshing change of pace, Dallas County has decided to crack down on contractors that are delinquent with their property taxes. Granted, it had to take an expose article from the Dallas Morning News over the weekend to jump start the action, but at least they are moving in the right direction.

I empathize with small business owners with the tasks of payroll, payroll taxes (ugh!), supplies and basic office management expenses. However, there are those in the bunch that are not as frugal with their money as they could be. And that taints the system for those businesses that are abiding by all guidelines.

Hopefully this crackdown will be a step in the right direction of making Dallas County an equal opportunity purchaser of services and supplies.

So the media gossip tree is rumbling that WFAA-Channel 8 (ABC) is replacing Jackie Hyland with Cynthia Izaguirre.

Cynthia’s internet claim to fame is when she was anchoring in Albuquerque she breathlessly informed the viewers that they were about to meet a “gay” mountain climber! The verbal faux pas was supposed to have informed viewers that the Mount Everest climber was in fact “blind“.

Crank up Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry” and click here to see the video gaffe for yourself!

Fasting Does A Heart Good

For a number of years I have chosen to fast on occasion. It might be for a day but usually it’s 3-5 days. In October 2006, I managed to fast for 30 days which was an amazing experience. Some people find it insane to willingly go without food, but I fast because I truly like the way it makes me feel physically with higher and more consistent energy levels, easily go to sleep at night, have a restful slumber and giving my body a chance to detox.

A number of people think I am nuts and it drives them batty when I attend lunch meetings and only sip water while they are having something battered, deep fried and covered in cream gravy. I don’t do a water fast but I do fast with fresh vegetable and fruit juices coupled with water and green tea.

I’ve done a great deal of reading on the benefits of fasting and for me, I love it!

So, imagine my delight in reading that the Dallas-based American Heart Association released details about the benefits of fasting! Based upon research from a study at the University of Utah, fasting for as little as one day a month seems to give people healthier heart arteries.

As explained by study author, Dr. Benjamin Horne, removing food for a 24-hour period allows the heart’s arteries to rest and to reset by having the exposure to glucose removed. This in turns allows the arteries to become more sensitive to insulin when it is re-introduced to the system and it can better assimilate it.

*DISCLAIMER*

Please consult your doctor before fasting, eating healthy, partaking in homeopathy remedies, exercising, etc. Remember, the world of pharmaceuticals is big business and it’s important to keep the populace overweight and medically induced while increasing the drug companies profit margins!

Drowning Pool is a popular alternative metal band based in Dallas and they are very actively involved with the USO and supporting our troops.

They have been on the road for months touring and just returned to town. Someone broke into their rehearsal space in North Dallas and stole thousands of dollars in gear.

Let’s help these guys get their gear back. You can watch the video of the lousy thieves stealing their gear here. If you recognize these criminals, contact the Dallas Police Department by calling 911.
