Tomorrow, Saturday, 1 December, the annual Neiman-Marcus Adolphus Children’s Parade kicks off at 10a.

Starting in downtown Dallas at the intersection of Commerce and Market, the route continues east on Commerce and then winds it’s way through downtown with to the ending point at Akard Street just past City Hall Plaza.

There is plenty of parking in downtown and you can also easily access the area by taking the DART Blue or Red line.

The weather might be damp so prepare the kiddies accordingly and have fun!

Did the fans of Green Bay really think they had a shot? With defense doing such things as not blocking Terrell Owens, it was over before it began.

The Dallas Cowboys wiped the field with the Packers (though the cleaning crew is currently cleaning the remnants of cheese off the field at Texas Stadium) and won by 37-27 which has them in the lead by 2 games for the NFC and with home field advantage for the playoffs!

And on a side note to all those that can’t stand the Cowboys: The Boys didn’t name themselves “America’s Team“; that was a title bestowed on them by Sports Illustrated.

Dallas Cowboys to take on the Cheeseheads

Just from appearance sake, a swaggering, boot wearing, 10-gallon hat character is a lot more visually impressive than someone with a wedge of cheese on their head.

But I digress.

Tonite the Dallas Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers and both teams are 10-1. The game begins at 7:15p CST on Channel 27 in the DFW area.

Even though Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo is taking on his hometown team, it should be comforting to know that Romo claims he has never worn a cheese wedge on his head. Thank God for small favors!

How ’bout them Cowboys!

Security Increasing Along Katy Trail

After a truly horrific attack two days ago along the popular 3.5 mile Katy Trail, security is being increased.

During summer months, patrols are often in effect 5 out of 7 days; however, during the winter that drops to patrolling just on the weekends.

On Tuesday, Dr. Elizabeth Prezio was enjoying the day riding her bike and listening to her iPod. Prezio has put an impressive 3,000+ miles on her bike this year but Tuesday that came to a screeching halt when she was viciously attacked by two teenage punks.

According to Prezio, she saw the two wannabe men smile at one another and then run straight towards her, knocking her off her bike. They proceeded to spend the better part of a minute brutally kicking her while screaming profanity and demanding her iPod. Prezio didn’t have a chance to hand over the gadget to them before the attack began.

In what had to be the longest minute of Prezio’s life, she suffered multiple breaks in her pelvis and collarbone. She was unable to move afterwards.

Thankfully, upon her first screams, two women in a nearby office building overlooking the park immediately dialed 911 and then ran to Prezio’s aid. Prezio is expected to spend another 2 days in the hospital before she is released. She is already talking about riding the Trail again as soon as she can.

The Dallas Police have made one arrest of a 17-year old who was involved with the pack and are actively looking for the other teen punk involved in the attack.
